Christmas Magic with Christopher Ernst: A Visit to the Advent Exhibition in Kindelbrück

Christmas Magic with Christopher Ernst: A Visit to the Advent Exhibition in Kindelbrück | Germany

November is the time when the days grow shorter, and we long for the warmth of the Christmas glow. To experience this magical atmosphere, I visited the Advent exhibition at the Kindelbrück flower shop Creativ Floristik, owned by Christopher Ernst, the German Floristry Champion of 2022. This event was not just a showcase of masterful skills but also a true celebration for the senses and the heart.

Christopher Ernst – A Master in the World of Flowers

Before describing the exhibition itself, it is worth taking a closer look at this extraordinary artist. Christopher Ernst is not only a floristry champion but also a leading figure and mentor who has been inspiring Germany’s floristry community for years.

Key milestones in his career:

German Floristry Champion 2022 – a title that opened the door to his international career.

Examiner and judge at numerous floristry competitions.

Since 2022, a member of the competition committee and the Federal Garden Show commission of the German Florists' Association.

Active member of the German Florists' Association (FDF) Hessen-Thuringia, serving on the board since 2021.

Since 2008, Ernst has been running Creativ Floristik, a flower shop where floristry becomes art. He is accompanied on this beautiful journey by his wife, Jessica, who helps create an atmosphere of warmth and family charm.

The Advent Exhibition: From Classic to Modern

Even before stepping into the flower shop, the magic was palpable—crowds of people, smiles, conversations over mulled wine and sweets—all setting the mood for Christmas. At the entrance, Christopher himself greeted us with energy and warmth.

The exhibition was a true display of floral mastery. What made this event special?

Naturalness and warmth – the use of natural materials like fir branches, pinecones, moss, and delicate dried flowers.

Bold contrasts – Ernst is not afraid of daring combinations. Decorations with black accents—his favorite color—were particularly striking.

A diversity of styles – from traditional Advent wreaths and classic arrangements to modern installations that fascinated with their shape and precision.

A Family Atmosphere and Floral Emotions

The most beautiful aspect was that the exhibition became a place for family gatherings. Visitors wandered through the space, admiring the extraordinary arrangements. Every detail was carefully thought out, making guests feel like part of this magical world.

Ernst created more than just a floristry exhibition—it was a journey through the many facets of Christmas, filled with warmth, inspiration, and a sense of togetherness.

Magic That Connects People

As I left Kindelbrück, I felt grateful for this special experience. In January, I will meet Christopher again at IPM in Essen, where floral talents from around the world gather each year.

Floristry is not just an art—it is, above all, about people—their stories, passions, and experiences. Meeting Christopher showed me the importance of being open to the world. Every conversation and every smile enriches our lives.

I invite you to check out the photo report of this magical exhibition. I hope you can feel a bit of the Christmas spirit that filled Kindelbrück! 🌿✨
